Chairman Larry Davison opened the meeting with a prayer and the Pledge at 7:15 pm at the Oconee Commission Chambers. Vice Chair Bill Gilmer passed the sign-up sheet around to record members present:

REPORTS FROM THE VARIOUS COMMITTEES
Chairman Davison welcomed the guests attending and then requested reports from each Sub-committee Chair.
1. Memorial Committee
No report.
2. Finance Committee
Chairman of this committee was not present. Members reported donations made since the last meeting were: Steve Denman ($25), VFW #2872 in Athens ($500) and Amrey Harden – Oconee State Bank ($5,000) to add to the previous total ($54,275.38) to make $59,800.38 in the bank now. A check for $150 was received - the refund from the Civic Center for the cancellation of the banquet room for the November GALA that was planned, but has since been postponed. No funds were spent during the preceding month.
The total to date after adding the $150 = $59,950.38.
3. Fundraising Committee
A fundraiser b-b-q, offered by Mark & Cindy Siles was discussed. No action was taken.
4. Publicity Committee
Note was made of the article in the Oconee Enterprise paper and the picture of Vice-Chair Bill Gilmer receiving the check of $5,000 from Amrey Harden, President of Oconee State Bank.
5. Program Committee
No report.
6. Old Business
None
7. New Business
Motion was made and passed to change the November meeting date to the 3rd Thursday, November 15 in lieu of meeting on the 4th Thursday, November 22 which is Thanksgiving Day.
Motion was made and passed for Committee to go into an Executive Session to discuss developments to date.
Executive Session adjourned at 8:30 pm
